Alcohol Ink Ornament Class: Tuesday, December 10 (6 - 8 pm)

Come join me at my studio/home for a fun small class that will bring out the artist within you (yes, this includes those of you who say you don’t have a creative bone in your body!). We will be making gorgeous one-of-a-kind glass and abstract alcohol ink ornaments for your tree or as an incredible gift!  The inks have a mind of their own but it’s impossible to make a mistake and will go home with 3 fabulous ornaments!

Alcohol inks are typically vibrant and colorful and applied to non-porous surfaces.  Using alcohol ink and isopropyl alcohol, the fluid results, depending on technique, tend to be abstract, fun and uniquely unpredictable.  They are semi-transparent which means they can be layered and combined together to create gorgeous effects. You will learn some of these similar techniques and use alcohol ink to make some gorgeous fun holiday ornaments!

I’ll discuss and demo various processes of working with alcohol ink, then you will pick colors of your choice to create unique designs.  You can stay in the same color scheme or make each ornament stand out on their own.  All supplies are included in the class fee.

*** Notes:  

We will be working with 91% alcohol and the inks are made with alcohol, both in small amounts; but, if you have respiratory issues, feel free to bring a mask.  

You will be provided disposable gloves (let us know if you have allergies) because the inks stain.  You may get ink on your skin or clothing due to the process so wear clothing or an apron you don’t mind getting ink on.  It comes off the skin easier, but clothing, not so much.

Class size is limited to 6 per 2 hour slot, so don’t wait to sign up.  Payments are required at registration.  No cancellations or refunds: but, you may send someone in your place.  Adults (or adult and accompanying kid ages 12 & up)

This class has a minimum.  If not met, the class may be cancelled or moved to another date or time.  A full refund will be given if this should occur.
