FAQ's

It may be boring, but here is the essential stuff you always ask or need to know.

PAYMENTS?
We accept on-line payments through PayPal (use your Visa, Master Card, Discover, American Express, JCB, Diners Club, Apple Pay - credit or debit cards). At a show or via the phone, we accept Visa, Master Card, Discover & American Express.  Personal checks ok, but FYI, they WILL delay your order!
DO YOU GIFT WRAP?
Yes, we can gift wrap most items and ship directly to the recipient for an additional charge of $5.
SHIPPING?
We like to use UPS because insurance is included or sometimes USPS depending on the cost to ship and insurance. We will ship internationally, will expedite shipping if you request it (additional fees apply), and like to ship within 24-48 hours after an order is placed for in-stock merchandise. Personal checks delay this process so we don’t recommend them if you are in a hurry. We will combine shipping where possible to save you money.
We have a base price for shipping. As you add items to your cart, each item will include a small fee in addition to the base to insure you pay a reasonable fee for shipping based on what we know the weight and/or size of each individual item.
RETURN POLICY?
7 days (from your receipt) money back guarantee on (unworn) retail orders only (shipping is not included). If shipment sent is our error, the shipping fee will be reimbursed. You must contact Meadowbrook Arts for approval prior to returning for approval. We will replace, exchange, issue a credit or a refund (same way you originally paid). Returns must be insured and shipped in original packing in the original condition. Refunds issued upon receipt of item by Meadowbrook Arts.
GUARANTEE?
We make every effort to not put out defective merchandise and will stand by our product. Defective means faulty workmanship and not damage by excessive wear and tear or abuse. We will repair or replace any defective merchandise (with as close to like parts where possible).
GENERAL JEWELRY REPAIRS?
No, we do not repair any merchandise made by other jewelers or stores.
CAN YOU MAKE SOMETHING FOR ME OUT OF AN OLD STONE OR CAN YOU MAKE A DESIGN I CAME UP WITH?
No, it takes more time than I can give to come up with an individual design that is based on someone else’s ideas and most times it takes me away from the jewelry I love to make that is good for my soul. I’m fortunate to have so many people like my designs and that keeps me plenty busy!
CAN I CHANGE EARRING WIRES?
We typically use sterling silver french earwires but do accommodate requests for pierced posts and even clip-ons. In some cases you may have to pay a little more money for the change if it is an upgrade. We always use sterling silver and never a lesser cheaper grade. Sterling silver suits most people and typically does not cause any allergies.
WILL THE COPPER OR BRASS AFFECT MY SKIN?
Every skin chemistry is somewhat different, but in general, copper can. I like to keep my metals in their most natural state. Some believe that this is what aids our bodies in the benefits to copper. The type of brass I use, typically does not affect most people, nor does sterling silver. It usually only tarnishes slightly. You should ask first if you are bothered by the affects.
CAN YOU HANDLE BULK ORDERS OR WHOLESALING?
Yes. I can handle orders of different lines of my jewelry for special events. Depending on the event, there may be a deposit and minimum order required to secure the order. Wholesale items have a minimum item quantity requirement and purchases are made outright with no consignment option. You will be asked to provide appropriate business information to be able to wholesale.
DO YOU CHARGE SALES TAX ON MY PURCHASE?
We are required to charge residents in Maryland sales tax of 6% for on-line sales. The rest of you purchasing on-line are A-OK for the time being until they pass a national on-line tax (yep, it’s an idea floating around out there!). If I’m at a festival in a different state, I have to honor their laws and collect for that state at that time.
DO YOU TEACH CLASSES?
Yes, when time allows me to put classes on my schedule. Keep an eye on the website or sent me a note and I can add you to my mailing list.
CAN I DROP BY TO SEE YOUR STUDIOS?
At this time, the studio areas are not open to the public, but we do have special events that we post publicly to allow for visits and/or purchasing straight from the studio.
CAN I BE ADDED TO YOUR MAILING LIST?
Sure, we collect information for our list only and do not engage in mailing lists to other companies. If you ever want removed, just unsubscribe.  Mailiing list customers get first hand notice and information ahead of other customers!  Join the mailing list if you want to know or have first dibs on class openings or brand new lines of work!  You will get special notice because you are special to me!
